What wasn't working.

Women entrepreneurs were piecing their lives together across half a dozen tools - one app for the calendar, another for courses, a group chat for community, a newsletter for updates. The training side and the business side never lived in the same place, even though, for this audience, they're the same system.

And it had to feel native to a Croatian-speaking, EUR-billing audience - not an afterthought bolted onto an English-first app.

How we built it.

We built The Playbook Studio a calendar-first membership platform where training and business sit side by side - organised into two streams, Healthy & Fit and AI & Business, under one Playbook Method.

• A live calendar at the core - events, classes, meetings and tasks with repeats, 24h / 30min reminders, notes and attachments, scoped by stream and updating in real time.
• A full content engine: a rich-text blog with cover images and video embeds, a community feed with posts, likes, bookmarks and pinning, and a media library for images, video, audio and documents.
• A publisher/subscriber model with role-based access - staff author, members consume based on role and per-module access - plus an admin panel for users, moderation, newsletters and plans.
• Stripe subscriptions (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly) with idempotent webhooks, and a lifecycle of React Email templates for welcome, billing and reminders.
• Built bilingual from day one - Croatian locale throughout, EUR billing, and served fast from Frankfurt.

What changed after launch.

Members now run their week from one place - book a training session and a strategy session in the same calendar, read both streams, ask the Playbook's AI mentor, and talk to the community without leaving the platform.

Real-time updates via server-sent events keep calendars and feeds live, background jobs handle email and media, and the whole experience speaks the members' language and bills in their currency.
